Falcotrix Privacy Statement
Effective date: July 2026
Data Collection & Processing
Folio processes all files completely locally on the user's machine. No files, documents, or personal metrics are ever transmitted to an external server or collected by Falcotrix. Compression, OCR, and every other operation Folio performs happens entirely on-device.
This includes every stage of a file's lifecycle inside the application — reading the source document, running MRC compression, extracting or embedding OCR text layers, merging or splitting pages, and writing the final output — all of it takes place within the local process running on your machine. At no point does Folio open a network connection to move file content off-device, whether to Falcotrix's own infrastructure or to any third party.
Because processing never leaves your machine, Falcotrix has no visibility into the contents, filenames, page counts, or any other attribute of the documents you work with. There is no server-side copy, cache, or backup of your files at any stage, and none is ever created.
Telemetry & Analytics
Folio does not use tracking cookies, external analytics SDKs, or background telemetry of any kind. The application does not report usage data, crash data, or file metadata back to Falcotrix.
Folio does not include any third-party analytics frameworks, advertising identifiers, or crash-reporting services. No event data — such as which tools you use, how often you use them, or how long a session lasts — is collected, logged, or transmitted anywhere. The application does not require an internet connection to install, launch, activate, or run any of its features.
If a future update introduces optional, user-initiated telemetry (for example, an opt-in feedback or crash report submitted manually by the user), it will be strictly opt-in, clearly disclosed at the point of use, and never enabled by default.
Website Data Collection
This website is hosted securely via Cloudflare and does not use tracking pixels or tracking cookies. Standard Cloudflare hosting infrastructure may log basic technical request data (such as IP address) for security and delivery purposes, consistent with Cloudflare's privacy policy. Falcotrix does not layer any additional tracking on top of this.
This website does not set first-party or third-party cookies, does not run advertising or retargeting scripts, and does not embed any analytics platform such as Google Analytics. No account is required to browse the site, and no personal information is collected through forms, since the site does not include any.
The technical request logs retained by Cloudflare as part of normal hosting operations are used solely for infrastructure security (such as mitigating abuse or denial-of-service activity) and content delivery, are governed by Cloudflare's own retention practices, and are never accessed, exported, or repurposed by Falcotrix for analytics or marketing.
Third-Party Sharing
Because Folio processes files locally and does not transmit them, there is no file or document data for Falcotrix to share with third parties. Falcotrix does not sell or share personal data.
Falcotrix does not partner with data brokers, advertising networks, or analytics vendors, and does not monetize user data in any form — Folio is funded entirely by its one-time purchase price, not by data collection. The only third party involved in delivering this website is Cloudflare, acting strictly as an infrastructure and hosting provider, as described above.
In the event Falcotrix is ever required to disclose information in response to a valid legal process, any such disclosure would be limited to what Falcotrix actually possesses — which, given the local-only architecture described in this statement, does not include the contents of files processed through Folio.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes affecting how Folio or this website handle data will be reflected here before taking effect.
Falcotrix does not notify users individually of updates to this statement, since Folio does not collect the contact information that would make individual notification possible. Reviewing this page periodically, particularly the effective date at the top, is the reliable way to stay informed of any changes.
Any revision to this statement will continue to reflect Falcotrix's underlying commitment to local-first processing; changes are expected to clarify or expand on existing practices rather than introduce new forms of data collection.
